Additional responsibilities include:
- Oversee PennSSI productions, including creating original content, coordinating recording and editing, and ensuring high-quality outcomes through thorough testing.
- Stay current with video production trends to recommend and implement innovative digital advancements for PennSSI.
- Provide strategic input in decision-making, planning, and promotion of PennSSI’s digital projects, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
- Support PennSSI programs, including the GPS Learning Lab (mobile unit) and school safety summit events.
- Manage studio spaces and equipment to maintain quality, efficiency, and brand consistency.
- Perform media management, backup, and archival of all PennSSI digital assets, ensuring timely delivery in collaboration with team members.
- Create and maintain a catalog of PennSSI scenarios and Learning Lab content.
- Distribute casting calls, assist with auditions, and participate in selecting actors and actresses.
- Be able to effectively operate the PennSSI / GPS Learning Lab systems.
- Represent the Institute before outside organizations, school boards and other groups aligned with the mission of PennSSI.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communication, Broadcast Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 – 5 years of professional experience in video and media production. Proficiency in conceptualizing, shooting, and editing video content, as well as managing digital assets, is essential. Candidates should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and have a working knowledge of green screen editing. Familiarity with WordPress, the Office 365 suite, Windows software, and Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to engage effectively in both individual and group settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional time management, organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities. They must be detail-oriented, capable of delivering high-quality results, and able to communicate in a positive and productive manner. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs with minimal supervision is also essential.
