Announcing PSBA's third annual Student Architectural Design Competition

This year's competition is open to all Pennsylvania students and teams of students in grades 7-12, and will ask students to provide a design solution to an actual architectural project that is currently under construction.

This year's challenge will require students to design an addition and renovation to an existing building project, including a geothermal heating and cooling system. Students are scored on their ability to closely match designs with a set of predetermined space requirements. The winning solution will be one that enhances the community in a close suburban setting. All designs are expected to meet minimum LEED Silver Certification utilizing LEED for Schools 2009.

All submissions will be showcased at PSBA's annual School Design and Construction Conference, May 6-7, at the Lancaster Convention Center. All students and advisors will be invited to attend, free of charge, the final day of the conference, where a number of student-centered activities will be featured.

Learn more about the competition or interact with contest sponsor Crabtree Rohrbaugh & Associates design professionals, who will answer specific questions about the contest and designs.
