The 2008 Schools of Excellence in Technology program is intended to give districts the opportunity to learn about some of the best practices in educational technology in Pennsylvania school districts.

PSBA is working to coordinate opportunities for board members, technology directors and other district administrators to visit and learn about some of the innovative and interesting ways technology is being used to support student success.

Representatives from Pennsylvania school districts are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to get an inside and up-close look at PSBA’s 2008 models for excellence in educational technology.

On May 15, May 21 and May 22 Council Rock SD, Riverside SD and Central York SD respectively, will host events that will afford visitors the chance to experience first hand what is becoming possible in school districts in the state.

Technology directors from each of the districts will be on hand to answer questions about improving infrastructure, planning for sustainability, implementing to support educational programming and many other topics pertinent to improving educational technology in your district.

Years past have provided visitors with the opportunity to interact with students and view student work, tours of buildings built or renovated to support educational technology and breakout sessions intended to help attendees build strategies for success in planning for educational technology.

Please plan to visit one or more of PSBA’s featured Schools of Excellence in Technology. It is PSBA’s hope that by providing opportunities for PA school districts to share ideas and best practices, we may continue to work toward providing the best educational services possible for our students.
