Hornberger has been executive director at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute since 1996. He serves on the PA Youth Council, TEAM PA Workforce Investment Board Incumbent Workers Committee, the Lehigh Valley Workforce Investment Board and the Lehigh Valley Youth Council. He was appointed to the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute Board of Trustees. In addition, he serves on the board of the Manufacturers Resource Center and recently was presented with the Manufacturing Leadership Award. Hornberger also serves as a special adviser to the Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a consultant to numerous school districts in Pennsylvania and other states. He earned a doctorate degree in education at Temple University and previously held teaching and administrative assignments in vocational education.
